Refund Policy

At PartsMunk, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please read this policy carefully before initiating a return.

Return Window

All return requests must be submitted within 30 days of the delivery date. We cannot accept return requests after 30 days under any circumstances.

RMA Number Required

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Returns shipped without a valid RMA number marked on the outside of the package will be refused and returned to sender at the customer's expense.

To request an RMA, email support@partsmunk.com with:

  • Your order number
  • The part number being returned
  • The reason for the return

You will receive your RMA number and return shipping instructions within 1 to 2 business days.

Condition of Returned Items

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • In new, unused, and uninstalled condition
  • In the original manufacturer packaging with all components, hardware, and documentation included
  • Free of writing, stickers, tears, or damage to the packaging

Items that have been installed, used, altered, modified, or returned in damaged packaging are not eligible for return.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under any circumstances:

  • Electrical parts with opened packaging or signs of installation attempt
  • Special order, custom, or built-to-order parts
  • Hazardous materials, including batteries, fluids, aerosols, and airbag components
  • Painted, finished, or color-matched parts once received
  • Tires that have been mounted
  • Tuners, programmers, or software once VIN-locked or flashed
  • Items marked as Final Sale at the time of purchase

Fitment Issues

If a part does not fit your vehicle as described in our listing, contact us at support@partsmunk.com before returning. Please provide your vehicle's Year, Make, Model, Trim, engine, and the part number in question. If we confirm a fitment error in our listing, we will cover return shipping and issue a full refund.

It is the customer's responsibility to verify fitment using Year, Make, Model, Trim, and engine specifications before ordering.

Return Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs unless the return is the direct result of a PartsMunk error, such as the wrong part being shipped or a confirmed fitment listing error.

We recommend using a trackable carrier with insurance for all returns. PartsMunk is not responsible for return packages lost or damaged in transit.

Freight and Oversized Item Returns

Oversized items that shipped via freight (LTL) require a scheduled pickup arranged through our returns team. Do not ship LTL items back via standard parcel carriers. Freight return charges are the customer's responsibility unless the return is due to our error.

Restocking Fees

A restocking fee of up to 25% may apply for returns due to buyer error, including:

  • Wrong part ordered (outside of a confirmed listing error)
  • No longer needed

Restocking fees may be higher for special-order or manufacturer-specific items as set by the manufacturer. No restocking fee applies to returns due to our error or confirmed defects.

Refund Processing

Once we receive your return:

  1. Inspection takes 3 to 5 business days
  2. Approved refunds are processed within 7 to 10 business days after inspection
  3. Refunds are issued to the original payment method only

Original outbound shipping charges are non-refundable.

Defective Parts

If you receive a defective part, contact us at support@partsmunk.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the defect, and clear photographs. We will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

Warranty

Most parts include a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, excluding:

  • Electrical components
  • Normal wear and tear items
  • Labor costs
  • Consequential or incidental damages

Warranty claims are processed through the original manufacturer. Contact us and we will assist with the claim submission. Warranty replacements typically ship within 7 to 14 business days of approval.
